Genuine 17th century antique cast iron Armada chest,c1690. This is a proper antique and has aged exactly as you would expect for an original unrestored example. The cast iron has taken on a great rusty patina . The original hasps and key locks are present but there is no internal locking mechanism. This may be missing or the lock/key holes maybe dummies and it was always secured by hasp and padlock. Overall condition is as to be expected from an antique of this age with lots of surface rust and signs of wear and use, but it is structurally sound and solid.
