A Superb 19th Century Silver Chest

Description

Constructed in oak and very heavily covered with brass strap work and with robust carrying handles. The interior is a series of lined and partitioned trays made to accommodate a large quantity of sliver ware, these could be kept as they are, have the lining removed or left out all together. The trunk is in very good and original condition and has a good waxed patina. 510mm high, 920mm wide and 540mm deep. Circa 1880.
