Antique James 11 Country Oak Coffer C1680 Wdb260/25.11

This is a lovely antique late charles 11/early james 11 country oak coffer and dating from aorund the time of the restoration about 1680. It has four panels to the top above a carved lunette frieze with four panels to the front with carved lozenge to the centre and stands on squared and reeded legs. It has its original iron lock plate and hinges and has panelled sides and rough hewn panelled back.

It is hand & peg joined.

In very nice condition with a lovely deep colour and patination to the oak and oozes the charm and character of the period.

Measures: 28" high X 21" deep X 57" wide
