Colonial Brass Bound Military Teak Trunk

Description

Circa 1860, colonial, brass-bound military teak trunk of unusual design. The top has an inset shaped, fielded panel and fluted mouldings, and there is a fielded panel decoration to the frieze. It is freestanding with conforming fielded panels on all sides. There are handmade, heavy cast brass carrying handles and brass strapping and hinges.
