Description

A Nineteenth century North Indian Chinoiserie decorated trunk on folding stand from Bareilly, Uttar Pradesh.

A lovely trunk that is decorated all round and is in very good condition with some fading to the decoration as is to be expected.

Working lock and original key.

Ceded to the East India Company in 1801 Bareilly, on the route between Calcutta and Delhi, became known for it's furniture in the Cantonese style.

Now available from our large showroom in Marlborough, Wiltshire.
