ANTIQUE #SA525013

Antique Georgian Silver Apple Corer

£450    $602    €527
This is a wonderful example of a solid sterling silver apple corer, dating from the reign of George III.

The blade is clearly hallmarked for London 1797, with the maker''s mark of Thomas Phipps & Edward Robinson.

It is a heavy and tactile item. There is slight movement in the green wooden handle, although it is well attached. There are also two cracks in the wood, possibly as a result of it drying out over the last 220-odd years.
