This is a lovely example of a novelty pepperette. Made in solid sterling silver, with a wooden handle, it is shaped as a chocolate pot.
The base has clear hallmarks for Birmingham 1901, with the maker''s mark of Robert Pringle & Sons. The pull off lid has partial, conforming hallmarks. The condition of the silver is very good, apart from one very small dent, shown in the photograph of the hallmark.
It is a lovely object.
