The Silver Cabinet has dated this piece to the 1930s.
It is hallmarked for Birmingham 1936, with the maker's mark of Charles S Green & Co Ltd.

Being free from engravings it would be useful as a trophy. Alternatively, as it is quaiche-shaped, it would make a solid Whisky taster or simply a bowl for general use around the home.
