Victorian Camphor Wood and Brass Military Trunk

Description

Circa 1870, mid-Victorian camphor wood and brass band military chest or kist. With a brass plaque in the centre and brass quarter brackets to the sides, the handle to the front is flush against the lid. The interior has three large straps supporting the lid and retains the original, removable separator with string bottom. With brass lifting handles to the sides, it was likely made in India.
