Description

This is a fantastic Indo-Persian hard wood chest dating from the early 20th century.

This exceptionally handsome chest is beautifully inlaid with brass, fitted with brass catches and banded corners. Being of large proportions it would make a perfect coffee table. It has 7 storage compartments and 10 secret compartments inside. The top is ever so slightly domed although the surface is remains very practical. Raised on turned feet, it is in really good condition, with only one or two very minor marks.

The chest is a good size measuring 113 cms wide and 71 cms deep. It stands 58 cms high and dates from around 1910.
