Description

Here we have a fantastic Queen Anne Oak coffer c1700. As you can see the coffer has super colour and patina. This traditional six plank coffer has that little extra to make it a rare example. There is a single plank to the top with an extravagent reeded edge decoration. This decoration is also replicated on the top and bottom of the front plank. The end single planks are beautifully shaped and the front feet are particularly unusual and rare. They are certainly the shape of a Queen Anne leg found on a chair or table of the period. There is reeded decoration on the knees of the legs and almost a paw foot at the base. The chest has lovely original hinges and a working lock and key. A super period chest in great retail condition ready for your home. The dimensions are approx 44 inches wide 15 deep and 22.5 high.
