Description

An early 19thC or late 18thC camphor wood or mahogany blanket box. The grain suggests camphor and it is not as dense as would be expected if it were mahogany. The colour and patina is lovely. Simple half round moulded edge to the lid and a deep skirt to the base. Iron lock and brass escutcheon. Iron side lifting handles.
