Victorian Military Camphor Wood Trunk

19th century
Description

Circa 1870. A Victorian military camphor wood blanket box or trunk. In a rectangular shape it has brass quarter blocks on each side and a recessed brass plaque in the centre of the hinged top. With a flush lifting handle to the front and a leather strap retainer inside. There is further brass banding down the sides of the box on all sides and 2 cast brass lifting handles to the side.
