Description

An impressive 19th Century Anglo Indian marraige chest. Made fron teak which has faded to a good mellow colour. Substantail decorative brass corner strapping and lid hasp. Peg and panel construction with square legs having their original wheel castors. The interior has a 'candlebox' with three sections and three SECRET compartments accessed with moving panels. Central lower frieze drawer.

Original iron hinges iron lock and side carrying handles.

108 cms wide by 56 deep and 89 cms high.

Great for a hall or perhaps for a wide screen TV.
