Puckerings has dated this Silver Plate Table Lighter to the 1860s.
The central light would have been filled with fuel and the wick lit.

The underside has a full mark with the makers for the most famous of English silver plate makers, Elkington and Co., together with the date letter for the year, 1869. The handle is lucky enough to retain the original regal monogram within a typically Victorian cartouche in the form of a belt and buckle. A wonderful piece in excellent condition. 6 3/4" x 5 1/4" deep inc. handle x 4 1/2" tall.
