Description

Here we have a wonderful George I carved Oak mule chest c1720. As you can see the chest has fantastic colour and patina. There is a two plank top with lovely grain and a thumb moulded edge. There is a carved frieze beneath with two carved fielded panels to the front. The carving is of excellent quality and original to the chest. There are two base drawers with brass swan neck handles and Oak linings. The chest as you would expect is of pegged mortice and tenon construction. There is a carved frieze to the base and wonderful stile legs. A super period chest in great retail condition ready for your home. The dimensions are approx 50 inches wide 21 deep and 32.5 high.
