Georgian Period Country Oak Antique Coffer

Full of The Charm and Character That You Expect to Find from a True Antique, This Delightful coffer is of pegged construction and dates from around 1700. It has a moulded lid with the original pin hinges above a beautifully panelled front with simple carvings and brass key escutcheon. This charming antique stands on raised legs and would provide an adequate amount of storage, ideal for bed linen. The oak has aged to a warm medium shade with a striking grain, is in very good condition and has been beautifully cleaned using a traditional form of wax finishing.
