A rare model antique Victorian burr walnut inlaid davenport. Having the more desirable piano shaped top centred by a marquetry panel of inlay in exotic timbers. This writing table computer desk has an original gilt bronze gallery beneath which is a concealed lift up flap to reveal a stationary area. The cylinder bureau top slides to reveal a series of compartments and adjustable leather topped writing slope. Beneath this is a glazed glass display area used as a music cabinet to store music but could be used as a Canterbury rack to store magazines. This piece of furniture has been fully restored by qualified professional restorers and is ready to place in the home. Excellent condition.Circa 1850. Measures 23”w x 20”d x 38”h.
