Puckerings has dated this Victorian Silver Novelty Cruet to the Victorian era.

The front of the base is mounted with an oval open salt with a lavishly gilded interior. The underside has a makers mark which I haven't identified as yet, certainly a Sheffield silversmith. Making this piece highly collectible is the inclusion of an English design registration diamond shaped lozenge to the coat tails of the boy; this allows us to date it accurately, this design registered on 8th February 1873.
A fabulous piece in superb condition spanning 5" max. and standing 5" tall.
