Stunning Eighteenth Century Oak Antique Mule Chest

This Stunning Eighteenth Century Oak Antique Mule Chest has a beautifully figured moulded lid that lifts up to reveal oak base boards and a separate candle compartment. The front has beautifully figured raised fielded panels with moulded edges. This stunning chest also has a decorative brass key escutcheon and two oak lined drawers with moulded edges and brass drop handles and stands on raised shaped feet. The sides are paneled and this wonderful chest maintains the original backboards. The oak has aged to a rich shade with a striking grain, good patina, is in very good condition and has been beautifully cleaned using a traditional form of wax finishing.
