Stunning Georgian Warm Oak Antique Mule Chest

With the charm and character of a true antique dating from around 1770 in the Georgian period, this stunning mule chest has a characterful lid that lifts up and provides adequate storage, ideal for bed linen, above three beautifully figured raised fielded panels with crossbanded edge, decorative brass central key escutcheon. The two lower drawers are oak lined with moulded edges, crossbanding and again with decorative brass handles and key escutcheon. This stunning antique has panelled sides and back stands on shaped bracket feet . The oak has aged to a warm shade with a striking grain, good patina, is in very good condition and has been beautifully cleaned using a traditional form of wax finishing.
