Description

A really lovely Victorian painted general purpose storage box. This simple trunk is comprised of a D-edge moulded lift-up lid opening on its original wrought iron hinges to reveal a single storage compartment. It retains its original finish with a wonderful example on the front elevation of beautifully hand painted calligraphy showing initials and the year of manufacture. This exquisite storage trunk is English, c.1863.
