The ultimate Georgian coffee table! A superb example of an 18th century solid oak general purpose storage trunk which lends itself perfectly to serving as a low table. The moulded-edged lift-up lid opens on its original wrought iron hinges to reveal a single storage compartment. It has a simple plinth base support and there is a working key to the original lock. This wonderful English coffer – with its original untouched finish of great depth and rich colour – is from the reign of George III, c.1780s.
