Coffer Chest Trunk Charles II Oak Small Size C1680

Description

Here we have a wonderful rare small Charles II Oak coffer c1680. As you can see the chest has wonderful colour and patina. There is a typical two plank top with scribed marked edge. Below there is a freize with lunette carving and reeded decoration. Beneath there are two fielded panels with lozenge shaped carving and again reeded decoration. This high quality chest has fielded end panels and even has a panneled back. The chest as you would expect is of pegged mortice and tenon construction and solid throughout. A wonderful period coffer in excellent retail condition ready for your home. The dimensions are approx 43 inches wide 19.5 deep and 20 high.
