Description

A really lovely 19th century solid camphorwood storage trunk. This beautiful low general purpose coffer – an ideal height for use as a coffee table – is of exposed dovetail construction with a lift-up lid opening on its original hinges to reveal a large single storage compartment. It retains its original finish with a rich warm lustre shine and a glowing patination. This stunning trunk is English, c.1860s – c.1880s. There is a working key to the original high quality lock.
