A good example of a Victorian period painted pine trunk. The trunk has been painted to resemble figured wood and stands on unusual ebonised ball feet. It has the original handles and is in completely untouched condition. The chest has a lot of rubbing to the top and some scratches etc but has a great lived in old country house look. The whole is very sound and useful. C.1850.
