Description

This is a charming English carved oak coffer dating from the mid 17th century with a great colour and patina. This has lovely neat proportions and is constructed in the traditional manner with hand made forged iron nails and has its original decorative iron lock plate and beautiful carved detail throughout. The chest has a lidded candlebox inside and is in sound, original order.

The chest measures 91cm wide, 41cm deep and 53cm high.

Rams Head Antiques is a family business based in Wolsingham in Weardale where we have had shop premises for 28 years. The shop is generally open every Saturday from 11 am till 3 pm.
