Description

Here we have a wonderful solid Elm traditional six plank coffer c1700. As you can see the coffer has exceptional colour and patina. The single plank top has super colour and grain with a well executed thumb moulded edge. There are lovely strap hinges inside and a fantastic candle or herb box again made from Elm. The single front board has super chip carved decoration to the edge and of course is of simple nailed construction as it should be. As you would expect the back has some historic worm holes but I have had the chest 3 months and exstensively treated it as a precaution and there is no worm present. The chest is a wonderful diminutive size being 38 inches wide 22.5 high and 13 deep.
