Antique English Silver Plated Asparagus Serving Dish C.1900

A very elegant long oval Asparagus dish, outlined with a beaded border and a cut-out handle to each end.
 
The removable Asparagus rack has a receptacle to accept the matching sauce boat to serve a Hollandaise or butter sauce.
 
Both pieces have matching marks for the top-quality silversmith, Mappin & Webb. Marked ''Triple Deposit / Mappin & Webb / Princes Plate / London & Sheffield''
 
Excellent condition, measuring 20'' wide x 8''. Dating to around 1900.
