Early 18th Century Oak Six Plank Sword Chest

Description

Very good original condition early 18th century oak six plank sword chest or coffer. This particular example is in very good original condition and is a lovely colour.

The top with ogee type mould all round the edge.

Original iron work throughout. Also retains its original candle box inside which also quite remarkably retains its original leather hinges.

Just a very nice example of this popular piece of oak.

SIZE; 45" wide by 14" from front to back by 20" high
