Description

Excellent mid 18th.c. oak coffer or chest c.1740. Three panel front with original guilloche pattern carving to the mullions, continued on the sides and repeated on the front panels. Four panel lid and rear and panelled sides all in oak. Retaining it’s original long staves with unusual pierced brackets. A couple replacement floor boards, otherwise very good unrestored condition and particularly good colour.

Dimensions: width 50", depth 23", height 30".
