Description

very decorative oriental carved camphor wood trunk.

the raised top depicting scenes of warriors, the interior is very clean and has the lovely camphor aroma, the front, back and sides are all carved with boats and domestic scenes, standing on carved feet, the original owners name of dowson also incorporated to the top.

some shrinkage splits and general signs of wear and tear commensurate with age and use but overall this wonderfully ornate chest is in good condition and is a very eye catching piece.
