Description

Superb little 18th.c. Welsh three panelled oak mule chest c.1770. With a hinged top and two useful drawers in the base. Unusual small size, being less that 4 feet wide and of superior quality. Solid oak construction throughout, with a thumb moulded edge to the lid, raised and fielded panels repeated on the sides and moulded drawer fronts. With original escutcheons, locks, hinges and candle box to the interior. Front is initialed R.H in brass studs. Excellent condition, cleaned and polished in our workshops, with period replacement brass drop handles.

Dimensions: width 46", height 30½", depth 18".
