The lift up moulded edge lid is over a three panelled front, with two drawers beneath.
With candle box and deep storage space.

The oak is a glorious rich golden colour, with a beautiful warm patina.
Standing on tall stile feet, with a very pretty shaped front apron.
Pegged construction.
The overall condition is very good, with general expected signs of age and use, some minor wood shrinkage to the sides and interior, marks to the top, minor knocks, all very usual for the age of the chest. Later handles to the drawers. No key to lock.

Very solid sturdy and strong.
Bees-waxed and polished.
