A Charles 11 Devon Oak Coffer C 1660

Description

A Charles 11 Mid Devon oak coffer c 1660 in completely original condition with bold arcaded front above a carved mould and three panels incised with diamond motifs.

These rare coffers are generic to the Mid Devon area around Okehampton due to the type of local oak employed in their construction and the particular design common to the region.

This coffer is in completely original condition with both the original 3 hinges to the back and lock too-rare survivors.

Size 56 ins wide 22 ins deep 33 ins high.

We have our own van and can offer well priced deliveries to all parts of the UK including weekly deliveries to London and the Home Counties.
