Mersham Manor Antiques has dated this piece to the 1920s.

The centre door is flanked by two astragal glazed doors. Each door opens to reveal shelving for books or displaying. Each door has working locks with key. The shelving in each section is adjustable.
To the top is a shaped gallery back, with a beautiful fret-carved design to the front, showing the excellent quality of the bookcase.

Standing on short cabriole legs, with wonderful carved knees and ball & claw feet.
Lovely rich warm colour to the Mahogany.
The condition is very good, with some but very minor signs of use, a couple of knocks to the top, shown in the pictures.

Very solid sturdy and strong.
The dimensions are.
Height-112cm to the top of bookcase-118cm to the top of the up-stand.
Width-138cm.
Depth-38cm.
The depth of each shelf internally is 29.5cm.
All the shelves are fully adjustable, so can hold a variety of book sizes.
