Miles Griffiths Antiques Ltd has dated this piece to the 19th Century.
This is a very original painted pine ship's trunk which is dovetailed with a moulded lid, this hinges up to show a large storage space, a mice added detail is the original owners name, hand painted inside the lid.
Inside there is also a candle box to one side.
In very good, solid and original condition with the period 19th century antique paint finish.
