Good 17th Cent Oak Coffer

Description

A good 17th Cent English oak coffer with well executed original carving to the front. This coffer is very similar to ilistrations on pages 362 and 503 in Victor Chinnery's book "Oak Furniture, The British Tradition" and dates from 1640.

It is in good original condition but has had a few minor repairs as you would expect after 350 years. It has retained its original base and hinges (one hinge needs repair)

The maximum dimensions are:

140cm(55") wide

57cm(22.5") high

58cm(23") deep
