Description

Victorian Walnut Large Open Bookcase Having 3 Adjustable Shelves. The marble top inscribed underneath J.Matthews ? St. Brighton 1868 sitting on carved arcaded moulding over veneered frieze. The shelves with carved 'Egg & Dart' fronts flanked by carved pillars with carved decoration with incised carved back ground the tops scrolled with leaf & nut carvings the bases with carved Cocoa Beans. The base moulding carved with flower heads again with incised carved background. On carved oblong shaped feet to back and front.
