Elkington & Co Metal Bound Oak Silver Chest Circa 1880

Description

This Antique Metal Bound Oak Silver Chest bears the name plate of Elkington & Co Ltd, Silversmiths, Regent St, London SW on the inside rim.

It dates from circa 1880.

The Silver Chest has a slightly domed top, matching carrying handles and a brass name plate which has not been engraved.

The inside of the Trunk has remnants of the original marbled paper lining.

Dimensions:

Height: 19.5 inches (49.5 cm)

Width: 28 inches (71 cm)

Depth: 16 inches (41 cm)

Condition:

The overall condition is good. There are signs of age, use and character.
