Here we have a fantastic decorative 19th century Teak Marriage or Dowry chest probably of Eastern origin. As you can see the colour and patina of the chest are amazing. The outlying strap iron work is beautiful and gives the chest its interior design appeal. There is a 3/4 lid with lovely strap hinges to the top. Inside there is a candle, herb or more likely a safe box as it is in the base. There are original wheels to the base. A fine solid chest in fantastic condition ready for your home. The dimensions are approx 37 inches wide 28 high and 22.5 deep.
