Chest Coffer Blanket Box Coffee Table Rosewood C1820

Description

Here we have the most beautiful Rosewood chest on stand c1820. The chest has wonderful colour and patina. The breathtaking chest is the highest quality being made from solid Rosewood. As you will see the brass inlay is superb and certainly worthy of a royal houshold. There is peirced brasswork to the lid in the form of ovals and corner pieces with fleur de lie shaped tops. The moulding to the edge of the lid is also inlayed with brass as are the sides and the base. Then we come to the carving which again is of the highest quality. The front sides and even the back has been expertly carved. There are original hand forged brass handles and hinges. A quite remarkable chest which is a fantastic statement piece of interior design in beautiful condition. The dimensions are approx 45 inches wide 26.5 high and 20 deep.
