Here we have a rare Welsh Oak coffer bach meaning small coffer c1720. As you can see the chest has exceptional colour and patina. These were given to newly weds as dowry chests so a chest with great sentiment.
The top has two planks and a wonderful colour. The later carving is of super quality. This really is a high quality example having a three panel front but also panelled sides. There is a single drawer made to look like two which has beautiful brassware and the Welsh dragon. The drawer is dovetailed top and bottom typical of the period as are the base boards running front to back. A stunning example in fantastic condition ready for you home. The dimensions are approx. 24 inches wide 13 deep and 19 high.
