A Very Smart Edwardian Steamer Trunk Coffee Table

1900 - 1920
Description

A very smart 1920's or 30's black laquered and brass steamer trunk. Perfect as a coffee table or end of sofa table. 33 inches wide by 19 deep by 15 inches high. The brass fittings on this trunk are of very high quality and the shaped corner caps and studs make it stand out. There are old labels applied to the sides and a very feint outline of the owners name can be seen in the top paintwork.

The interior has a fitted tray. The central lock to the front is missing but the hasps to either side are fully functional.

There are iron carrying handles to the sides.
