A 19thc Military Document Box with Secret Drawer.

Description

A 19thc military colonial document box. Satinwood veneer with rosewood banding this box was contructed to hold important papers. It has a substantal triple lock with a working key. The underside of the lift up lid contains a storage section accessed by a drop down flap secured by brass hooks and eyes. The pin secured side drawer can be withdrawn the reveal a slide out secret storage compartment. The decorative lock escutcheon is silver plated.

Measurements-: 19 inches wide by 12 1/2 deep by 7 1/2 high.
