Chest Mule Chest Oak George II C1750

Here we have an exceptional George II Oak mule chest c1750. As you can see the chest has exceptional colour and patina and is even better colour in the flesh. In fact the chest is one of the best coloured pieces of Oak I have ever had. The timbers have been carefully selected in this quality piece of country furniture. The wood has been cut at an angle to produce the medullary rays you can see which has not been done by chance. Of course the wood around these shrinks quicker so therefore produces these raised rays which after years of polish look fantastic. The chest is of large dovetail and pegged construction and sits proudly on the original bracket feet. The drawers also have hand cut large dovetail joints and are Oak lined. This is a fantastic mule chest of lovely proportions and great original condition it would be hard to find a better one. the dimensions are approx 46 inches wide 26 high and 21 deep.
