Puckerings has dated this Victorian Silver Perfume Bottle to the 1890s.
The lid opens (nice secure closure) and reveals the glass stopper from the small glass flask that sits within.

Once the lid is opened, the case can then be opened revealing the glass bottle.
The sterling silver is hallmarked for Birmingham 1899 together with the makers initials HM for the well renowned silversmith, Henry Matthews. The case measures 1 1/4" across x 2" tall.
