An Antique Oak Coffer

18th century
Description

An early 18th or late 17thc oak 2 panel coffer. Good looking proportions with wide stile uprights which are reeded. The same reeded decoration is echoed in the panel surrounds to the top. Flat iron lock with a hasp and key. The interior has been braced to accept s lift out storage trays which have pierced handles. Further storage below. The original wire hinges have long gone and have been replaced by later iron hinges.

Overall an excellent colour and patina.

The size is great-:

47inches wide by 19 deep by 22 high
