Here have a super Victorian period Pine marriage chest. As you can see the chest is in wonderful original condition. The original paint adorns the chest and it is nicely dated 1879. The chest is certainly continental in origin may be French or even Scandinavian. The chest top has cleated ends and pin and loop hinges. The chests construction is nice thick dovetails and there are lovely original bun feet to the base. There is a candle or herb box internally. There are some old worm holes underneath but well treated and inactive. A super chest in lovely original condition ready for your home.
