Here we have a super early Oak coffer from the reign of James I c1620. As you can see the chest has fantastic colour and patina. The coffer is in wonderful original condition and has not been messed about with. The carving is original and not later. The chest is of traditional six plank boarded and pegged construction. As you can see this honest coffer has all the attributes of a purist period piece.
